This going to be a long one...

Hayleigh

We’ve been trying to conceive since December 2018 ... I came off the pill in November 2018 and then we actively started trying the following month ...

I was only on the pill for 7/8 months prior to coming off it, the only reason I was taking it was because of the very strong acne treatment I was on, pregnancy needed to be avoided like the plague!

Previous to this I wasn’t on contraception as it just doesn’t agree with my body, my periods were normal, never overly painful and never overly heavy!

Fast forward to now...

My periods have been dead heavy and the pain is that bad i have to alternate paracetamol and ibuprofen every 2 hours and I end up sitting on the toilet where I can relax with no worries which seems to make the pain ease slightly, the pain gets that bad my knees will be bouncing when I’m sat on the toilet ... This started around 3 months after coming off the pill

Well it wasn’t like that this month (or a few months ago I had one cycle which was like this months), I only took ibuprofen twice... nor was i overly heavy like i usually am, i only leaked once and only a little bit when we were cycling, i usually end up leaking into my jeans etc

So the painful periods arent consistent nor is the heaviness? ive been mega tired this period too, been sleeping so much!

I’ve got a doctors appointment next week (which I actually booked about 4 weeks ago for how bad my period pains are) I’m going to mention all this and see if they can shed some light on what’s going on, why I’m struggling to get pregnant etc, I’m hoping they don’t make me wait until December when it’s officially been 12 months of ttc🤞🏻

I’m just so confused as to what’s going on with my body! I have so many unanswered questions, are my periods so painful and heavy because they’re failed pregnancies? So the odd month which is normal is because I didn’t conceive? Are there ongoing issues with my womb etc?

Urgh!!!!
