Pregnancy Journey

al

My husband and I were trying to conceive our baby for months. I used an app, and kept track of when I was ovulating, and we were just going at it as much as possible without making it feel like a chore. In January of this year his father ended up in the hospital, and he had to go to Alabama to be with him. Due to my job of taking care of my special needs niece I couldn’t just up and go with him for the week that he was there. While he was in Alabama the app said I was ovulating. I was glad he was getting to spend some final time with his father, but not gonna lie I was a little bummed out that I would have to wait another month to become pregnant. His father ended up passing away that week, and he came back home to Virginia to prepare for the funeral in his dads hometown of Illinois. I was able to give my sister an advanced notice so I could go with him to Illinois. While we were there I felt off. I was extremely tired and falling asleep before 8pm, I wanted nothing but sandwiches and my boobs were sore. My husband had me take a pregnancy test on the day of the funeral, because he was hoping for some good news, but sadly it came back negative. So we just decided that February would be our month to make a baby, and January was a no go because we missed the days. Well a week into February, after we returned back from Illinois, I decided to use up the last pregnancy test I had. Sure enough it came back positive! Our baby girl was conceived sometime in the beginning of January. My husband thinks it’s a sign that the same month his father passed away we conceived our baby. I’m currently 33 weeks, and due October 10th.
