Textured foods and vomitting
I have a question/ concern. My son has been eating baby purées since he was about 4.5 months old and he is just about 7 months now. We have never had an issue eating them and he enjoys them a lot. Flash forward to typos morning and I decided I was going to smash up
Some fresh banana and put it into some yogurt and try that out. Well he ate a few small bites was enjoying it a little and kept wanting bites. Keep in mind at this point I was only giving him the smallest of bites until he figured out the texture. I had given him a bite and all of a sudden he started throwing up. I took him out of the high chair and put his chest in my palm and start patting his pack as he threw up some
more. I have no idea what trigged this and it happened so fast I don’t even know if he was joking on a small piece of banana or what. He’s fine now, got him all cleaned up and he’s been sitting down playing with his dog talking. I am still concerned though. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I just stick to baby purées until he has teeth and can chew? I’m at a lost. I am terrified of my child choking.
Here is what I made.
