Insights??

So I ovulated on the 4th(i had light brown spotting and slight cramps), I then had VERY light pink spotting on the 11th(5 days before AF due), only when wiping. I almost missed it, it was that light. It lasted maybe 2-3 hours. But now I'm 5 days late. I've completely missed my period. I took a test last Friday that was negative. I know I need to test again. I'm afraid to. My husband and I aren't "trying" for a baby, but I wouldn't be upset if I was. I'm ready, he's not. We have 4 beautiful children, but 4 years ago we lost one of those 4 when he was just 4 months old. So I'm scared. Maybe I tested too early? I took the test the day before my missed period. Any advice welcome💜
