Archer or Archie ?

For the last few years I have loved the name Archie & now I am pregnant with a boy, but now since the royal baby’s name is Archie I feel its going to become so popular which is fine. What puts me off already Is when I tell people the nameI like then other peoples first response is ‘ is that after the royal baby’ comments like that are starting to put me off. Now I am swaying towards Archer as it sounds more defined. Opinions please whats nicer Archer or Archie. Thank You

Archer ages better. You can call him Archie, but he may prefer to go by Archer as an adult professional.

My first thoughts with Archie are Archie and Jugghead and Archie Bunker. I feel like with Archer, he can go by Archie if he wants but he can also go by Archer if he wants a more adult sounding name.
