Are you just having sex? 
Or are you tracking your cycle with OPKs or cervical mucus, and timing sex accordingly?
Because if you’re just having sex randomly then you’re probably just doing it on the wrong days. If you’re being careful about tracking ovulating and timing sex, then eight months still isn’t worrying. But if you say you have other health issues, you could try to discuss it with your doctor and they might be willing to run some tests early instead of waiting till a year.
