Postpartum girdle?

Question

Those of you who have had a baby before, did you wear a postpartum girdle/brace? And if so, what were your thoughts on it? Do you think it helped your stomach heal and the muscles better able to retract?

I did not have one last pregnancy/birth but wish that I had. I am definitely going to ask my doctor for their opinion and recommendations this time. The first few weeks post partum just felt weird and loose. If I can avoid that this time I will.

I used one for both of my previous babies and plan on using one for this one as well. I feel like it helps hold everything together. To me everything feels very lose in my belly post delivery and the girdle helps keep everything together in my opinion

I used one for my skin. My doctor told me it was ok each time this is my third baby. I will be using one again after this baby because at 26 weeks i have already gained 30 lbs 😖.

I never used one and I’m on my 3rd baby. However, I just bought one because I have a huge wedding to be in on Valentine’s Day.  By this being my 3rd and I’m getting older I don’t know how my postpartum body will look.

I had one because of some severe pain I had during pregnancy. It was the most u uncomfortable thing ever. Couldn’t sit or bend or breastfeed. This time around I’m going with compression pants from baobei maternity

3rd baby and I never used one, each of my two I never had any problems with my core.    But who knows what will happen after my 3rd

I had 1 but only wore it a few times. I’ll prob use it more this time.

I didn’t do anything like that after my daughter was born and I don’t feel like it would have been necessary or even useful if I had.

I have never used one for any of my other 3 post pregnancies. However I am seriously considering it for my 4 now. I will have 4 kids 4 and under and my tummy muscles are not what they use to be. I’m thinking it may be helpful for the first bit after and then get back to doing some exercises.
