What do you guys look for in a daycare?

Definitely look at reviews and go on unannounced tours. Don’t call in advance, just show up. I worked at a daycare and on days we knew parents were coming we were instructed to behave differently and clean the room more. So now that I no longer work for one and have my own kids, I do unannounced tours when looking for one. Also ask about security. I like my daycare to have cameras installed and a locked door system. One of the daycares I worked at didn’t have either of those and a kid escaped from another classroom and was found in the parking lot.

I would never put my child in a daycare. I’d stay at home and do my own business of a daycare there before I ever choose another daycare. Or I’d hire a babysitter who stays at MY house and in view of a security camera or baby camera. Too many crazy things happening and not even care to give for it all by others. I don’t trust them and I can’t bring myself to ever trust one.  Not me. Not I. But if you do, then please get to know them, get to know other kids in there if you can and make sure your child can speak for themselves before you put them in one, just Incase something really does happen, they can tell you and not just cry. Please choose wisely and not just the most affordable!! Its your baby’s life in the hands of someone you barely know. So many things happen and can happen. Id be safe than sorry.

I honestly couldn’t see myself putting my children in daycare but my family members own a daycare center and I trust them completely and that’s the only reason that I put my son in daycare. You’ll have to find people that you feel you can trust very quickly or get some king of baby cam.
