Falling behind?
My daughter is 7.5 months old. She sits well independently until she gets tired, then she falls backward. She is starting to eat finger foods. Our sleep schedule is great. She’s very happy and interactive. But I’m worried that physically, she’s falling behind. She still cannot hold her head off the floor during tummy time for more than 10 seconds. She is showing no signs of crawling, pulling herself up, etc. When she’s sitting, she is just planted wherever I put her on her bum. No signs of wanting to move.
I’ve brought up the tummy time issue to my paediatricians few times and he said not to worry, and that she just doesn’t like it and it’ll come with time. But honestly , she’s at the level a 2 month old should be at and she’s nearing 8 months old. I’m worried. Does anyone have a similar situation? Am I overreacting? Is there something I can do to help her other than doing tummy time as much as possible? Any help would be appreciated.
