I don’t want to be rude / controlling at all

My husband and I just got our first place together

And while we are in the process of moving TVs and getting them up in rooms I’ve let him have his PlayStation downstairs in the living room but it’s hard when I want to watch tv ( only tv we have rn that has actual shoes ) or we have company over it’s hard to get him off the game and it sucks tbh.

I’m making the spare bedroom a man cave for his gaming but i was going to hook up his playstation in our bedroom for now.

Because I rather not have a game system in the living room anyways, only short term because like I said it’s so hard to get him to share the tv. I don’t play video games but we both watch tv.

Would it be rude to just take it up stairs? He hates the idea of it being upstairs, but because his game is downstairs he’ll come home, take off his uniform in the living room and hit the couch and controller lol so it helps clean up his mess to.

Anyone have the same issue? Am I being to controlling?
