When to move baby from carrycot?

I have a bugaboo bee3 and my 14w old is currently in the carrycot. He sleeps great in it but spits up right after a feed (if we’re rushing out the door and no time to keep him upright). He is more and more interested in his surroundings. When did you move your little ones out of the cot and into the seat? (I bought it 2nd hand so no manual).

We started using it occasionally from around 15 weeks. I gave the uppababy Vista and they actually make an infant insert for the sit up chair thing, but until I bought that I just plumoed up the seat with a rolled up blanket, as it's too deep for a tiny baby who can't sit. My boy is just over five months now, and I thibk there is only a couple weeks more we can get away with using tge carrycot as he's too long. We are still using the insert in the sit up chair. My kids both transitioned between 2-3 months when they started liking to hold their heads up and look around. My son especially would do mini-crunches every time I tried to lay him in the carrycot

Sorry I'm not much help. My baby was in the sling until around 4/5 months ( never used a carry cot ) then she went in our stroller for long trips out. She was more than happy watching the world go by in the stroller.

My daughter could sit up at 4 months so around then, I tried her a few times before that (just around the house) to see how she did but she just wasn’t as stable for her

Most prams advise 6 months but I put my daughter in the pushchair attachment at an incline at 4 months. Had to make sure she was strapped in really securely so she wouldn’t slump. Might have been a bit early but she was sitting unaided by 5 months.
