Has anyone gotten a wrong gender ultrasound ?

Has anyone gotten a wrong ultrasound saying your having either a girl or a boy and it turns out your not having what they said ? And if so can you please tell me your story. I feel like I got a wrong ultrasound but I don’t know lol

I don’t think it’s very common, I have my anatomy scan next week and the lady that does the ultrasounds is the only ultrasound tech in that office. My dr told me this week that she’s never been wrong about the sex in 24 years, now idk how true that is, but I’m going to go with it to help settle my anxiety 🤷🏻‍♀️

This happened to my aunt. She was told she and her husband were having a boy, they had the nursery decorated for a boy, all the gifts they received for my aunts baby shower were all geared towards a boy,they had a boy name picked out and ready to go, and BAM my cousin was born and was a healthy baby girl.

I keep hoping mine was wrong but won’t know until Monday lol but the techs see thousands of ultrasounds every year and they’re trained to know exactly what they’re looking at. So it doesn’t happen often.

No, I don’t think it’s very common anymore with today’s technology unless the tech is very inexperienced or you go before 14 weeks. I was told a boy at 14 weeks and he’s still a boy today at my anatomy scan at 20 weeks. His scans looked exactly like yours.
