MIL keeps making my son’s pictures her profile picture on Facebook in spite of never seeing him and cancelling the last F I V E times she was supposed to come over. She’s “too busy” at the gym (she just goes to workout) to stop by.

Every time we try to go over there she insists on scheduling us around when her youngest will be home which ALWAYS is when my husband is at work so inevitably she reschedules to a more convenient time for her “baby” (who is 22!!!) and won’t let us come over!

But she thinks she can act like grandma of the year when my son doesn’t even know who she is. I’m done trying. I push and push to have a relationship with them and then when things don’t work out (literally the only time she’s tried to stop by on a whim in 2 months was the morning of his 6 month appointment) it’s my fault. When I told her we had a doctors appointment she immediately called my husband and told him I’m withholding “her” baby. My husband is 100% on my side and is sick of his family but I do not want to cut them off because my son is the one who will suffer.
