2nd grade skin color comment

I’m not sure where to post this, I just had to share. My daughter Wrigley is a kind soul who would do anything for anyone, if more people would be like her I think the world would be a better place. She is 7.5 years old (we are white) and this am she told me about yesterday’s playground stories. I was shocked to hear this next story...” today kilynn (White boy) who sits at my table wanted to play and he asked who wants to be my queen and Harley said she would” well kilynn said you can’t your not white...Wrigley stood in and said it doesn’t matter what color her skin is, if she’s white or brown or rainbow. She can be and is a queen!!! You may not find this as touching as me but I couldn’t be more proud I got emotional when she told me (could be my hormones) but I’m so proud of her. I told her never change and always treat people the way you want to be treated. And stand up for what you think is right and always for your friends. I wish everyone had a heart that didn’t see color just like my Wrigley who truly is special. God bless us all! Have a happy Friday!
