Pack and play mattress??

Question

My daughters Evenflo Pack and Play came in yesterday and I noticed the little pad for the bassinet part is super stiff. 
Is there a mattress that I can put on it instead?? I just feel like it wouldn’t be comfortable... 
also if this is a dumb question, oh well. I know nothing, it’s my first kid lol

Its supposed to be super stiff to prevent suffocation.

Yes! My kiddo sleeps in the pack and play for his daytime naps when he’s nannied through the week and I was feeling bad for how thin and hard that pad is and thinking maybe he’s sleep better if he had a better pad. A girl friend had this one and we got it too and it works great for him!

They sell mattresses for pack and plays, look on amazon . The tiny pad that comes with the pack and play didn’t seem thick enough to me either so I’m planning to get a mattress for mine, that’s what my baby will sleep in until we move to crib after they’re born .  I’m hoping to get one like this soon, but I have to check the dimensions of my pack and play .

You can get a mattress that fits in the pack and play and the infant insert but be careful it may lift it high so cannot use if baby is sitting up. It is firm, we used when first traveled with a 4 month old so I am not sure if too soft for a brand new baby but sure can find some options online.

It’s supposed to be firm. A soft mattress is more of a risk for SIDS.
