I feel like you guys aren’t really thinking about everything that comes with becoming parents. It’s a lot of responsibility, y’all should wait.

Absolutely not. If you want a family when you are still young, no problem. But you need to be sure the person you are with is the right person, that you are financially stable, and completely ready. Do your research on what it takes to be a parent.
Are you even out of your house? Do you guys have your own place? Have you made any sort of commitment to each other? Do you work? Do you want to work, or earn an education? What do you really want for your future — and even if you can answer this question, are you sure? Where do you see yourself in a year, five years, ten; and can you achieve that whilst caring for a child all day, every day?
Are you prepared to suffer the physical consequences of a full-term pregnancy and birth? The hormonal issues during and afterward? Caring for an infant 24/7 with an average of three hours of sleep, constantly covered in mess and unable to even take a shower in peace? Plus a rocky relationship with someone who may or may not stick with it? Are you prepared to maintain and develop your physical health, mental health, romance, relationship, ambitions and goals, career, education, social life, hobbies, etc. while also constantly caring for a tiny living human being?
And that is just the tip of the ice burg.
Please do your research as to how much work it takes to be a parent, especially at such a young age, especially without financial support. Don’t waste the prime years of your life because you wish to rush into such a serious decision, when you can wait, grow up, grow your relationship, gain some experience, and then intelligently decide whether or not a child is the best choice for you at that moment.

Listen I don’t think so personally, but the rest of you guys calling her names are way out of line. She asked for advice not a lecture or angry comments. This is an app to embrace each other and share experiences not too be hateful and just down right degrading. No matter the situation it’s not okay to shame someone. 
Now back to this thing your going with sweetie, I am around the same age as you and I know baby fever is crazy, especially when your hormonal and all that; but coming from a girl who had a mom that had 3 kids by 20 it will be rough. I’ve had to live in pretty crazy places and I wouldn’t change any of it. I love my life even through the struggles, but as a parent you need to think about where you see you and your kids 5 years from now. Make an educated choice, and try your best to create a happy home and life for them .

I meant to vote no but my boyfriend and I also 19 and 17 and neither of us are ready to have a baby at all and of I had already had a child I definitely would not be okay to have another I would wait for as long as possible until you are both secure and steady with your jobs, schooling, and living situations.
