What’s the difference between setting powder and finishing powder?

Setting powder is applied after foundation- it’s purpose is to set your foundation and/or concealer so it stays in place and lasts a longer time. Like a setting spray, but unlike most setting sprays it can take away oil or shine because it’s powder. So if you have oily skin you’d really want to use it. And can have a tint that will match your skin tone for further color coverage (or you can use a translucent one). This powder should be lightly pressed into the skin. 
Finishing powder would go on after foundation and setting powder and everything else- it’s purpose is to blur imperfections for an airbrushed look. It has a finer/softer consistency than setting powder and is usually translucent so it blurs pores and fine lines for more of that filter effect if needed. This powder should be lightly brushed over the skin. 
Use very little of both powders so your face doesn’t look cakey or too powdery. 
Setting spray can still be used after both these powders to help it all stay in place even more and to take away a powdery look if there is one.
