Hcg levels

Has anyone ever went for hcg levels and it not double appropriately and still go on to have a viable pregnancy?

Back story: We have had 4 miscarriages in the past and a little over a year of infertility. We did IUI this month and it worked.

My first hcg was 83 on Wednesday but it was only 93 today (Friday). My RE told me this in indicative of a impending miscarriage and I could stop my progesterone but I’m having such a hard time with that, I feel like I’m just giving up on this baby and that’s so hard to do.
