Odd period

I don’t know if anyone else has had this happen. My last period was not coming out onto my pad and only would bleed when I’m on the toilet doing my business. I thought it may be from stress or travel but now my period is back again and it’s the same. Nothing on my pad and it would come out in the toilet. Should I be concerned? Is this normal?
