How long should I wait to change a pad?

I’m pretty new to having a period though I know a lot about it because my best friend has already had hers for two years, but this is only the third month of having a period and I’m bleeding probably like a light to medium amount but I wasn’t sure if I need to change it every time I go to the bathroom if there is a lot, or if I just need to wait. Please help!

It depends on the flow and on how you feel honestly. I don’t really like pads because i feel like I have a diaper on lol (i’m a tampon girl), but when I do wear due to certain circumstances I usually change them every 3-4 hours. My flow is pretty heavy though.

There’s is no right or wrong. Change your pad when you feel the need. If you’re uncomfortable, wet, leaking definitely change your pad but otherwise change it when you feel you need to.
