Clothes hamper for nursery?

I’ve seen lots of cute ones... but is it impractical to get one without a lid/top vs one with a top??

2nd time mom here...my first, we paid a good amount for a pretty wicker hamper with a cute contrasting colored "removable" insert...the whole thing was entirely impractical & ended up in shreds within a year & a half. My youngest, I went for the one pictured below & it makes so much more sense to me. It's easy to carry & super cute (they have tons of different animals too). Just my 2 cents. 🤷‍♀️

The lids are impractical to me. 
The cat basket is super adorable though...I'd totally get it for a toy bin or something.

If ours has its lid on we just throw stuff on top of the lid so I’d say without

I bought an elephant for my daughter nursery and have never put a single thing in it 🤦🏼‍♀️ but it looks cute lol

You don't want to put your hands or attention away from the baby Even for a moment if you're using a changing table. So I say no lid. It's not like they get very stinky anyway.

I have one without a lid. It never even gets half full so you never see the laundry anyway.

We have the bottom one and love it. Having a lid would make it more impractical.
