It went like this...

Me and my ex broke up in April. We got back together in July and there has been some abuse from the first time around but it seems it has gotten worst this time. Before it would be just shoving and pushing in arguments; and he said he would get help but he never did and that was over a year ago. My family has seen him have a rage attack and punch in the walls. Earlier this month and late July there have been incidents where he has put his hands on me. I found out that I was about 6 going on 7 weeks pregnant on the 15th of August. Today was another incident, he is saying that he will get the help he needs and that now he wants me to keep the baby (even though he was arguing with me to get an abortion at first). I don’t know if I should give him a chance. I don’t want to bring a child into this world to have to deal with this. My mom keeps telling ppl I’m pregnant without my permission. I am considering adoption. He hasn’t been respectful of my body majority of my pregnancy and he claims that he wants to do better; but I’m questioning his readiness to be in a relationship nonetheless a father. I don’t want to tell my family because they will just escalate the situation and just gossip about it. I need advice
