Nursing strike?

My daughter is almost 5 weeks old and exclusively breastfed. The last 3 days or so she will latch on, turn bright red and unlatch then scream, only to try and find the breast again to do the same thing over again. 
It’s really starting to wear and frustrate me. 
Anyone else go through something similar? I’m about over this.

We did for about 4 days only. Never gave the bottle but I did think about it multiple times and cried a couple times. He would eventually latch back on. Just tried different positions and warm wash cloths on the breast to help the flow go down. I would let the milk drip in his mouth when he was fussing and that would seem to help as well!

Yes I did but you got further than me. My son was about two weeks old and was doing the same thing practically screaming at night so I had to bottle feed I was pumping but then he ended up not wanting my milk. 🤷🏽‍♀️ don’t feel discouraged I was at first because I wanted to breast feed but you have to do what’s best for her. Same thing happened to me and now unfortunately she is on formula because as soon as she stopped feeding off me, I couldn’t pump enough 😭

Do you think she has thrush? Check her mouth and your nipples for any signs. I've hurted it can cause a painful latch.

Watch what you eat. I tried a different brand of milk and this happened to us. She would try to latch and suck maybe once and then would scream and cry. 
So watch your foods that you eat because the one change made her not nurse for a day or even drink the milk that I pumped that day.

Yup! Same thing happened to me and i gave her a bottle which calmed her down many times and guess what..... she rejects the boob now and i barely breastfeed😩 i just pump. 
So my advice is - if u love breastfeeding dont give her a bottle no matter what!
