I got with this guy and two weeks later he ends it with me because “he doesn’t want a girlfriend” I understand that but why would he chase me for so long and ask me out if he didn’t want one.

He might be just using the "it's not you,it's me" line. Could be that he just isn't into you like he thought he would be... or he's just decided that after trying out a relationship he doesn't really want one right now just like he said. No reason to be mad.. he just gave you a chance to meet someone that does want a relationship with you.
