"Are you sure it's not twins?"

Okay, so many people at this point are making comments along the lines of "are you due soon? are you sure it's not twins? are you sure you're due in january?" Am I wrong for telling these people their rude? How did you respond when people said stuff like that to you?

I smile and shake it off. These people don’t know (or forgot) what the stages of pregnancy look like. I don’t think they are really trying to be rude but it can come off that way and it definitely gets old so i feel ya! But regardless it’s easier to just let it go.

I just smile and say "just one and a lot of pizza". People don't mean it in a rude way so I don't see the need to make it an issue.

This bugs me to my core, especially since I grew up with severe body imagine problems due to an abusive mother. Just because it may not bother some people doesn’t make the comments appropriate as you never know what battles that woman may have fought in their life.
I have big babies, my last was just shy of 9 pounds and 22 inches long. I have a 11 inch torso length. Although I literally only gained a baby belly and weighed less right after birth then I did when initially pregnant, but the comments ensued. So, now I’m just rude back. It may be petty but maybe it’ll stop that person from making other women feel bad about an experience that is suppose to be beautiful.
