What kind of things do you need or should you have in your hospital bag?

Hair ties and chapstick!!! It get hot and my lips got so chapped and dry!!

I’ve learned less is better. 
Pj (if  you don’t want to be in a hospital gown the whole time)
Going home outfit ( for you and baby)
Tooth brush/ toothpaste/ hair brush. Travel size shampoo, conditioner, soap, 
Phone charger
I alway pack snacks
Slippers/ sandals/ socks 
I don’t really worry about diaper ext. the hospitals where I live give you a pack of diapers and a few other thing. I do keep the diaper bag in the car just Incase.
With my first baby I brought so much stuff 90% of it was pointless 
The second time I dialed it down but I brought some extra stuff like a crochet rainbow my sister made so I could get pictures of baby with it. I also brought baby a few blankets but they weren’t necessary

You will get a lot of ideas but one thing I wish I knew for my first... bring an empty bag for all the gifts people bring you! The hospital also has to dispose of anything opened that is a disposable after you leave so they will offer for you to take all the Kleenex, extra pads, underwear, etc.

Your own comfy pj’s, nursing bras, slippers, clothes/blankets for baby, chargers and battery packs, toiletries to keep you feeling human (I brought my astringent, dry shampoo, brush, travel toothbrush, face wipes, and a little make up for when I wanted), and granny panties. My hospital supplied all things for baby (diapers, cream, soothers, lotion, washes) as well as pads, nipple cream, and a nursing pillow for me. Less is best.

I way over packed for my son. The hospital has most things you need. Just bring a special going home outfit for baby,  something comfy for you to wear,  maybe a laptop,  phone charger..  most things medical that'll provide you

Truly every person is different. With my daughter i brought like two pair of yoga pants, two shirts, a sweatshirt, her coming home outfit, a blanket to cover her carseat, my most comfy period panties, toothbrush, toothpaste, and non slip fuzzy socks. Had i had a sleeping nursing bra i would have brought that but i didnt so just a sports bra cause forget a real one. Some one suggest i needed a robe, I never used it.
