I second diapers and wipes. I got a million small packages of these things and it helped me try out different brands. I was also bought baby wash, diaper cream, clothing in bigger sizes (18 month+), thermometer (rectal is best), Nose Frieda.

I’d honestly shoot her a message and ask her what she NEEDS. I really did appreciate all the gifts at my shower but even after making a registry, people just bought me a ton of baby clothes which I didn’t really need. 😬😬 
I was super appreciative of a few gifts that had essentials for me like nipple creams, postpartum perineal sprays, etc. 
Gift cards are always awesome too!!
