Anyone in the UK??

Question

Anyone in this group in the UK know how long it can take for your first appointment at fertility clinic to come through? My partners semen analysis contained no sperm at both tests so his doctor has referred him to fertility clinic at our local hospital. It’s been around 6 weeks so far, just wondering if anyone has any idea how long it will take to get our appointment through? Thanks for your help!

If you’re in London it can take up to 3 months sometimes longer

Are you going through the NHS? We went private as there's no NHS funding where we are 😭 so it was pretty quick, only a couple of weeks, but I don't know about the NHS. have they said what they might do? my hubby had to have surgical sperm retrieval, they tried 2 types and unfortunately still didn't get any sperm , just waiting in lab results now to see if there's any final options.. I'm from the UK, but in Ireland now. It works differently here. I rang up the fertility clinic and was able to get an appointment in 3 days. 
We would be eligible for NHS treatment, as we do need genetic testing also, but it would take so long and I wasnt about to move back for just that. Paying privately here seems to be a better option. Good luck.

Hey! We are in Scotland and it took about 8 weeks but every area will be different I'd imagine. Hopefully not too much longer for you but could always phone and ask them x
