Is this too much driving for one day?

Boyfriend and I are taking a 2 week vacation to Orlando (for disney world) but are still in the planning stages. We want to have a road trip getting there from Ohio so we will be driving. I was thinking we could stop in Savannah, GA which is 11 hours away from where we live and 4 hours away from Orlando. I’ve been to savannah and it’s definitely the place I want to stop, but I was wondering if driving for 11 hours in one day would be too much?

No but if the driver starts to get tired you should switch out.

Depends on how you two can handle it. 
Because that is a lot of sitting. 
Just make sure y’all have plenty of snacks, drinks & something for the passenger to do to pass the time. 
& switch out driving after so often to give the other person a break. 
But do remember, some people do drive for a living lol.

No just leave early in the morning. I’ve noticed if we leave more towards the afternoon it seems longer cause the closer it gets towards nighttime and the more tired you get it just feels like you’ve been driving for forever when it’s been like 8 or 9 hrs really. We go to Alabama every year and it’s a 19hr drive. We usually try to knock out at least 12hrs the first day.

My husband and I take turns every 2.5 hours so that neither of us gets tired. We've been on 14 hour drives and conquered that in one day

Not necessarily, but you gotta be careful about getting tired whilst your on the road.... 
So stopping regularly for breaks, or you and your partner splitting the drive...

i drove 18 hours straight by myself w/ a newborn & 4 year old from wv to florida and lived lol, just switch off driving & leave first thing in the morning georgia traffic sucks dick.

No, we drive from Northern PA to Pensacola FL 16-19 hours depending on how many stops we make. My husband loves to drive so he does most of it. I’ll do a few hours to break it up for him.

From our house to my husbands home town is 13hrs with a couple stops...we always do it in one shot so I don’t think that’s too much in one day....some trips he drives it all, some we split the driving...if you both drive it’ll definitely not seem as bad

Orlando is an 12 hour drive from where I live and I did it last year in one day. Definitely helped to have my friend with me and we switched off every couple of hours. We also had fun stopping at every states welcome center just so we could get out and walk for 10 minutes. We left at 1am so the roads were quiet and it made for a much easier drive. We had a bunch of true crime podcasts to listen too as well so that made it go buy quick.

Nah just a few weeks ago we drove 12 hours with 3 stops from Ohio to Myrtle beach
