5 month old purées amount?

Hi all! We recently started our 5 month old on solids as we have gotten the go ahead from our doctor. We started on sweet potato purées first. I am just not certain on how many spoonfuls he should be having? I know it’s just practice really but I think I gave him too much yesterday and his tummy was upset ☹️
Also how many times should we be trying a day with him? I have just been doing the AM after his bottle.

My baby is four months and we started solids, I give her a whole container that’s 2 ounces only once a day in the morning and she’ll have a bottle after if she’s still hungry

When I first started we only gave her half the container in the morning then the other half in the afternoon

Breastfeed or formula feed first then start on a teaspoon amount per day then go up to tablespoon amount. Once a day only until they’re 6 months. They are not yet able to digest the food properly and rely on getting all their nutrients from your milk or formula. Sometimes baba will wanna eat sooooo much but be mindful that it could cause constipation or painful tummy. Frozen fruit in one of those mesh feeders is lots of fun and relieves teething symptoms. Watermelon and blueberries are great for a blockage! Hehe. Good luck!
