Tums during pregnancy? Heartburn help!

What do y’all take for heartburn during pregnancy?
Are tums safe? Any other remedies?

Tums are perfectly safe, they have the chewy ones, berry flavored and they aren't horrible. I've had bad reflux this go around, even just after drinking water. I feel your pain!

I took tums every day. Just make sure you follow the instructions because too much can start to affect your placenta

Tums are safe, read the back of the bottle to see how many you're allowed in a day (it'll specify a certain number for pregnant women). They're only good for short-term relief though. I've been taking zantac (ranitidine) every day for WEEKS because my heartburn is bad. It usually lasts for about 20 hours or so for me, (I must add that zantac for me doesn't get rid of reflux, only heartburn) whereas Tums only last me an hour or two. Ranitidine is perfectly safe while pregnant as well. Pepcid is also, but I've never tried it.

These ones are good. Prilosec, Pepcid, Zantac, and Tums. I’d start with tums or Pepcid first
