Can your baby already hold his/her head up?

Mine can’t hold her head up at all! She’s almost 12 weeks. I don’t do tummy time a lot because she hates it! 🤷🏻‍♀️

You should probably do tummy time anyway even if she hates it so she can build the muscles to hold her head up

8 weeks and she holds her head up any time she’s being held, lying on our chest, or on the floor. We attempt a total of 1hr of tummy time a day, but that gets tough as she has rolled over since 5 weeks and that’s her way of getting out of tummy time haha.

My 10 week old can hold her head up pretty well, but gets tired (sometimes I think she just gets lazy😂)
We don’t do tummy time on the floor a lot, but we do it on our chests. She seems to be a lot more comfortable that way and helped her get used to it on the floor!

Mine could hold his head up a little as a newborn. He’s 7 weeks now and holds it up for a bit when he’s being held or on my chest. It’s many times a day so that is our “tummy time.” We also actually do tummy time most days 😊

Try using a bobby under her chest. That’s what I do sometimes with my LO and she can tolerate for a longer period of time

Mine is 12 weeks and can sit or do tummy time with his head up for about 5 minutes or so then I can tell he starts to get tired.
