Not sure what group to post this in but I am currently trying to conceive. I obviously have health insurance but I spoke with an Aflac rep today about short term disability for maternity leave. Has anyone ever used it?

I would need to be on 10 months before a baby was born meaning it would have to be born after July 1st at this point. I am a teacher and have summers off and get paid during the summer so I am wondering how it would work then. Would I get 6 more weeks once school starts or would it start right away in July?
