Yes. You aren’t put to sleep or on any pain meds (I recommend 4 Advil about an hour before your appt).

Yep! Take the ibuprofen and you should be totally fine. Even those who say they have pain say it’s almost always very short and just during the procedure. I didn’t have any.

Most reputable doctors will prescribe a valium to take at the office one  hour before the procedure to help with the uterus contracting when the dye is pushed through. If you take the valium then have someone drive you home. Bring a pad you will bleed from the clamping of the cervix.

Yes I did both times i had one just take some Motrin before you go!

I could not have driven home. I had a bad reaction to the dye and ended up in the emergency room because I was in so much pain that got worse and worse in the hours following the test. I recommend taking painkillers in advance of the test.
