I had the Jadelle contraceptive implant inserted a week ago and the insertion date just happened to coincide with the first day of my period/ bleeding. I was on the mini pill before having the implant inserted and stopped taking it the day of having the implant put in. Since having the implant in my period had lasted much longer than normal (currently 7 days and it’s still going versus 4-5 days previously). It’s a very very light flow but just enough to be a little annoying (sorry if that’s tmi).

Does anyone have any experience with Jadelle and irregular bleeding? Can a doctor give me anything to help or could this sort itself out after having the implant in place for 3-6 months or so?!
