Nursing help!

Ho

So my baby girl was born on August 2nd, 2019 at 3:37AM via emergency c-section at 40+1. FTM here.

I wanted to exclusively breast feed if possible. Well, in the hospital, she did great for the day she was born and also the next. But then after that whenever she would go to the nipple, she would pull her head back and shake it side to side like she was motioning “no” with her head.

This has made it a little more difficult to get her to start or stay on the breast which can be frustrating sometimes, especially during the night when I’m half asleep. I’ve been trying to work with her because I know it’s all still new to both of us. Has anyone else had this problem with their baby? Why do they do it? Did they ever stop over they got to a certain age?
