acid reflux... spit up formula? // remedies for reflux

Question

Does any of you wonderful ladies have babies with reflux and if so have you been giving your baby the spit up formula by Similac or the a AR formula by Enfamil.. and has it been working? because my baby has no allergies to milk or protein but he’s on the hypoallergenic formula and I just don’t think he needs to be but he does have severe acid reflex does anybody have home remedies for acid reflux as well?..

My daughter is on Similac Alimentum after she had really bad reflux and gas from the Similac advance. I'd ask your pediatrician about putting a tsp of rice cereal in baby's bottle instead of switching formulas, since the change can mess with their sensitive tummies.

I tried the A.R for my son and it made his constipated but the spit up completely went away. We also tried oatmeal (1/4 tablespoon) in his formula. It worked for a week then he started spitting up a lot. Now we are on sensitive and he spits up a normal amount. If your baby doesn’t get constipated on the A.R I would HIGHLY recommend it. It’s a great formula!

My baby is breast fed and has bad reflux. Instead of going on the acid blocker the dr was prescribing we wanted to try probiotics  and it has helped immensely. I recommend trying the Gerber soothe probiotic drops.
