Taking away the pacifier,??

How old was your little one(s) when you took the pacifier away? Any tips on how too? 😊

We cut the tip off and ruined the suction, almost exactly age 2. He chewed on it at nap for about 3 days, then we went cold turkey and he didn't even fuss about it. We just finished our first week without anything. He's a champ.

My LO was 13 months. We just took it away cold turkey.

18 months I threw them out. I had to just distract him with stuff during the day so he wouldn’t want them. Nights were a struggle but he did fine and was over it in 2 days

We got a gift bag and said he was a big boy now and we were gonna give away all his pacifiers to the new babies that needed them. It was rough for a couple days after but not terrible by any means. If he asked about them, I just reminded him he didn’t need them anymore and we gave them to the babies that do need them.

My oldest 2 gave it up on their own between 12 and 18 months I believe it was. The 3rd stopped on her own around 1, maybe a little before.

2 years. I was sick of that damn thing lol. Finally broke down just took it away. Took two or three nights and she forgot about it

Around 3 months my son was more interested in the rubber beads on the string holding it so I just took it off and let him chew the beads. Now he doesn’t care for those either.

2 days...lol my kids hated them. But I weened my sisters boys at 9 mos. Just cold Turkey selt with some fusses and moved on.
