How did you tell your SO, and how did they react on your pregnacy?

I'm not pregnant nor TTC. I'm on birth control atm because I know I can't financially take care of a baby and I'm still in college. But sometimes I just wonder when my time comes, how will I tell my bf or how he'll react. I just am really emotional because I do want a baby later in life, but I'm so impatient and I just want to read stories tonight ❤️

I personally told him to go into our bathroom and look at something. I left the test on the counter and was still working over the shock that is was actually positive. We had been ttc for over a year and I had to have surgery and it was only 8 weeks post-op so I was in shock it happened so quickly. He was way more excited than I was for a few days.

For our first, we had been ttc for three months and i found out while on a lunch break from work. On my way home, i got a gift bag and a baby security blanket. When i got home, i putthe blanket and positive tests in the gift bag and texted him that i had a surprise for him. When he opened it, he couldn't say anything else besides "really??" And told me he loves me. 
For our second, we were not trying but i felt a whole bunch of symptoms so i bought a test on the way home from work and took it with him knowing. I was in shock and just handed him the stick while he was in the kitchen and all he said was "shit happens" and laughed. 
Just an fyi, my husband isn't one for letting his feelings show much so it always seems like he doesn't react but i know that he was definitely excited for both.

I love your reasoning behind this question - I would totally do the same thing! My husband and I are currently trying to have baby number one. I have tried to come up with a creative way to tell him BUT most of the “Pinterest” style announcements would just annoy him lol. Realistically I am going to give him a baby onesie with his favorite hockey team on it ☺️

We had a hard time getting pregnant and ended up doing ivf. So the doctor called me to confirm I was pregnant and my husband, my sister and our parents were waiting for that call. So we just called each of them. We were just on cloud 9 to definitely say we were pregnant

I didn’t even do anything special to announce the pregnancy because it happened unexpectedly and I couldn’t believe myself when I saw a couple of pregnant tests being blazing positive. I needed another set of eyes and tell me I’m not crazy so I called my boyfriend right away when he was at work. I just showed him my pregnant test and said “Is there something wrong with my eyes or am I really pregnant??” His reaction was really hilarious to that like

Just exactly like that! Lol! He was like “OMG! We are pregnant!!” 🤣 he literally said “we”. So yeah, it gave me an assurance that I was not crazy or anything like that. Now, our baby is about to make his grand arrival very soon this October. He’s kinda freaking out on the inside but he’s really excited to be a dad, though.

This probably isn’t the happy loving story you were after but I’ve never told anyone about telling him I was pregnant....
I got the reaction I expected... not the one I wanted, me and my partner are 22, bought our own house together last year and are newly engaged. 
I had been going through some major stresses at work and assumed that’s why af was late, but when she was 2 weeks late we decided it was best I go to the doctor, and he knew I was going and why... that day I got the biggest shock of my life and battled some pretty intense thoughts, but ultimately decided termination was not something I could live with... 
on his way home from work he called to see how it all went.. I ignored the first 3 and when they didn’t stop coming through answered the phone, but told him I’d tell him about my appointment later and kept changing the subject.
When he got home I told him the news and to say he was not happy is an understatement... the only thing he would say is we can’t have a baby, where not ready, you need to terminate, you always said if this happened you would why won’t you go through with it... in the end I told him I was having this baby regardless and he could stay or he could go... it’s his choice 
I’m not 30weeks and 2 days and he couldn’t be more excited to meet our little man
