Losing my mind!

My period was expected yesterday. I am never late. I took one test yesterday afternoon and saw the faaaiiintest second line - confirmed by 3 friends, I'm not totally crazy. I got super excited and ran to the store and bought more tests... 2 more were negative last night and 2 negative this morning. Am I a lunatic to still be holding out hope based on the first faint line and late period?? Has anyone else experienced anything similar?? Been
