I just ordered and ditched ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I panicked and I feel bad!

So I had $2 and some change. I had to stop by the store to buy a couple packs of smoked sausage for dinner tonight (total $2.18). I was hungry now though and was feeling nauseous, so I needed to eat something right away. I figured I would go to McDonald's and buy a cheeseburger to tie me over until dinner would be done. So instead of paying in all change at McD, I shoved a whole bunch of change into the self checkout at the store along with $1. I still had some pennies left, I had this all planned out.

I ordered the cheeseburger and the guy told me it would be $1.39. I had to ask him to repeat it because cheeseburgers are supposed to be $1, so $1.09. Nope, it was $1.39. I did not have .39.

Instead of just saying nevermind and canceling my order, I panicked and just speed off.

Not sure why I was being charged more. Last week it was still $1 and I just checked online where it is still marked $1.

I know they probably deal with a whole lot worse there, but I feel terrible for doing that.

EDIT: the .09 is tax. Tax percentage varies by state. They must have raised the price of the cheeseburger to a little over $1, making the cost along with the 9%sales tax, $1.39.
