Tues (Aug 27th) was a normal day...had my weekly doc appointment...I was 38 weeks so she stripped my membranes...she said I was 2cm and 90%...I had an ultrasound due to gestational diabetes and they estimated her at 6lbs 13ozs...had a normal nst...scheduled my induction for Sept 3rd...went home crampy from the membrane strip hoping for a baby that night...

Nothing that night...

Woke up the next morning bummed I didn't go into labor...went to my peer support appointment...had a counseling appointment...in both joked about finding and doing various activities that would break my water...laid down in bed after to play a simple phone game and relax...

Then I sneezed...

Small gush...kinda like when your period starts...nothing else...

Then I cough...a second identical gush...

I look at my husband and tell him I have to go to the bathroom and stand up...

All of a sudden I'm soaked to my ankles!!!!

That was 1pm...

Get to the hospital at 2pm...

Still no contractions...

They had a rash of water breaks in L&D and I was contracting so it took time to get a room...

Got a room at 5pm...pitocin is started immediately...

Got epidural at 6:30pm...

Checks had relatively slow progression but still progress...

9:52pm...I'm 4cm...so husband runs outside for fast vape break...

10:24pm...I'm at 5cm...

10:34pm...I'm mashing the nurse button because I feel intense pressure...nurse jokes about how she was just in here...she checks...I'm fully dilated with baby in route...

Doc rushes in exclaiming "wow that was fast...I'm glad I didn't go home!!!"...baby comes out on her own with little to no pushing...

10:46pm...welcome to the world baby girl!!!
