It says period late by 8 days . Aren’t you supposed to take a test a week or 2 weeks after a missed period ??

Did you for sure track ovulation to August 9th? So if the majority of the time you would get a positive home test by 14 day past that. Making expected period to be last Friday and you’d be now 7 days late. Personal opinion based on what I’ve learned from my infertility doc, is a viable pregnancy will show up positive on a home test by 14dpo. If you know exact date of ovulation that is.
