14 weeks ready for food?

Question

I’m sure my 14 week old is reading for weaning into food
Milk no longer satisfies her and she’s drinking a hungrier baby milk
I feel like I’m constantly feeding her 
She’s started to show interest in food and imitates chewing when she sees you eating. 
Is it too early to try give her some baby rice (the one mixed with formular)

Babies go through huge developmental leaps and growth spurts around this age so that probably what it is. I personally will be waiting until 6 months because that is what our ped recommends, gonna skip purées and do baby led weaning. Like the other poster said food before 1 is just for learning and fun. But if you want to you can always talk to your ped, they’ll let you know what they think!

I was eating an in and out burger the other day and my LO grabbed my burger wrapper then pulled the burger to his mouth 😂😂 I was like ‘let go of my burger’. Haha. I waited till 6 months with my daughter and probably will do the same. Just a personal preference. Foods not a necessity for baby at this point and even when your ready to introduce food it’s purpose is not for nutritional necessity. I think this time around I’ll try some baby led weaning/feeding.

There’s a growth spurt at 3 months, which could be why she’s eating so much. I’d say it’s too early for food especially since food before age 1 is not really for nutrition but just for fun. But talk to your pediatrician

Usually at your 4 month checkup your pediatrician will give the OK if they feel your babe is ready for food and will start with rice cereal. I would not give anything til your pediatrician gives the right away. My daughter is doing the same thing but shes about to turn 18 weeks on Monday and I'm still waiting til the 9th to discuss it with her pediatrician even though this is my second babe :)

Consult with the pediatrician. My 16 week old is nowhere near ready for solids, but she does nurse constantly. Every hour.
