How many pregnancy / birth books have you read!?

I'm a FTM and haven't read a single pregnancy/birth book.
Not sure if that's either really sensible or really dumb 🤷‍♀️

As weird as it may sound, the more I read about caring for babies/newborns, the more it makes me anxious. I wanted to know the basics but going into too much detail makes my brain hurt lol. I’d rather figure it out as I go

I imagine those that haven't read a book have looked up plenty online. So your still seeking & acquiring new information 😉 just in a different for mat.

I haven’t ready any books but I did get these 100 page booklet type things from the hospital at the start of each trimester. I read those if that counts?! My husband read 2 so he’s got us covered 😂

I keep thinking that I am making a bad choice by not having read anything yet, but I helped raise my younger siblings when they were babies, and some of that has stuck. I have a great support system, and my spouse works with babies quite often as an md, so I figure as long as the health stuff and basics are covered, we can learn along the way.

I haven’t read any books either and I’m a FTM. I’ve looked on the internet at a few things, been on here and baby centre so got lots of information from those instead x

My best friend gave me her books from when she was having kids, and I read one pretty much all the way through- it went over what you could expect week by week. The others I used if I had specific questions.
I also really liked Emily Oster’s books- she breaks down what you really need to worry about and why you need to worry about it. Found them super helpful.
