Cerclage experiences??

Question

Anybody ever had a cerclage done (cervical stitching) to help with preterm labor? What was surgery & your recovery like? Was it successful in aiding with the preterm labor? Would you do it again or opt out now if you had a choice? What was removal like prior to laboring? Curious how other mommas felt about it. Thanks for your stories and advice.

What type of cerclage? Emergency or prevenative? I have had both. With the emergency, it was fast and i was on bedrest until i had my daughter at 22 weeks 3 days. With the preventative, i was put to sleep at 12 weeks and i was on light duty for 4 days and it is fine at 26 weeks 6 days. With the preventative, i was back to work after the 4 days and have regular activities right now. Neither of them were bad; it is just anxiety provoking due to why i had to have one.
