So I have been having this discharge that looks like brown blood for almost a week. It’s not every day but maybe 3 times already in 1 week. I’ve had it stain my underwear once, I told my midwife on Wednesday when I had my check up and she said it may be my mucus plug? With my last son my mucus plug didn’t look like that. Can anyone tell me if they had a similar experience or if I should head out to L&D I’m currently 35 weeks 6 days.... TIA

That’s what it looked like when I lost my mucus plug but it was the evening when I was at 40 weeks. We called and they had me come in the next morning to check and confirmed I was in early labor. I had our daughter 30 hours later.

Have you had your cervix checked for dilation? I had some brown spotting like that after a check. I think my cervix was just irritated.
