Why did you stop having children?

Question

What was your reason you stopped having kids? Were you just happy with one or two? And how did you make the decision that you didn’t want more kids?
I have two and I think i don’t want anymore and just have my two but I’d like more but just think 3 is too much. Even though I am one of 8children.... 
Please let me know how you came upon your decision enough was enough for you? And how you feel about your decision. 
-definitely not wanting to insult anyone who hasn’t and cannot have kids. I’m very grateful for mine and my fertility. Hope I don’t offend anyone🙏🏼 thanks!

I’m pregnant with my first and unsure if I even want anymore after my little boy. My sister has 10 kids and honestly being in their house drives me insane even tho I love them all to bits. It’s just too much chaos. I defo won’t have more than 2🤦🏼‍♀️

I have a daughter and pregnant with our second baby girl. I came to the decision because 1. I'm 30 and not trying to be raising kids well into my 50's. 2. Financially we can provide for 2 kids better than 3 as far as helping with college, extracurricular sports/fun, cars ect. 3. Our house has 2 extra bedrooms so it will fit both kids without them having to share rooms. 4. My pregnancies are difficult and I am just DONE. 5. We struggled with secondary infertility and it took us 3 years just to be able to have a 2nd child which was emotionally challenging. 6. 3 kids seems like a lot! My sister in law has 3 kids and when I watch her kids I feel sooo overwhelmed.. Beyond that my husband and I agree being a family of 4 is perfect and we are going to get my tubes tied. We discussed it for hours and on multiple occasions and we are both VERY sure of our decision. Hope that helps.

I'm pregnant with my 5th kid. We decided to have more kids because it's no difference from having 2, 3 ,4 or 5 kids after you already have 2 children. It doesnt really cost us much more after the first two. Doesnt really take much more work. So we decided to continue on with having a big family. I wouldn't be opposed to having a 6th kid later down the road. Pregnancy isn't hard for me. Delivery or caring for the children.

I have 2, and wanted another, but my second has so many medical appointments and specialists. It came out of no where as asthma, lung and breathing issues don’t run in either families. All of my time off work is devoted to her appointments and etc. We pay more in medical bills that I ever thought would happen. We can afford them and other expenses but another would just make like too difficult.

For me, I’m a little selfish I love to shop and travel so 2 is good for me besides I want to drive the car I want not be forced to drive something bigger because the amount of children I have. Basically I love to have options not to be forced (home space also). But that’s why I decided to stop

I have one child 14 years old and I’m 34. As you can see I had him young. He’s perfection ❤️ I don’t want anymore children. One is enough. Plus my friends have young children and I just don’t know how the heck they do it 😫 the crying, daycare, ni time for anything. It’s all a blur to me since it was years ago that I dealt with that

I don’t have kids yet but honestly the thought of going through pregnancy scares me. I’d like to do it someday to have the experience but I definitely don’t think my boyfriend and I will have more than 2. When the kids start to outnumber the adults that’s when things seem like they can get a little too crazy. But I’m not even sold on 2. Night just start with 1 and see how that goes and maybe have another. But in almost 30 and it will still be a few more years until we can afford to have a kid so we may just stick with 1 anyway.

I’m getting my tubes tied after my third.

I had my first two by 24.  My ex father in law sat me down and told me that he couldn't financially support more than two with college and inheritance.  I was getting annoyed with my husband months before I found out I was pregnant with baby number #2 and knew I didn't want any more with him so I had my tubes tied.
After divorce and marriage, my husband and I went through IVF for baby number 3.  One was the plan but in February I found out I was pregnant naturally.  Three years after going through all the testing that ensured I was not able to have more children.  It's not what we wanted, but we can afford them and we have the time and room for another.  There just seemed like there wasn't a good enough reason to abort though my GP tried three times to talk me out of it because I wasn't 100 percent sure.
