So today marks 5 years that I loss my father to cancer. I remember everything like yesterday. I was in Houston for school and on August 30th, my mom called me and told me to get to the airport to come home. My father was on his dying bed and she didn’t know how much time he had. We sat in that hospital 2 days until he passed, I can remember thinking that my dad will never get to walk me down the aisle, nor meet his grandchild. Well on June 7th, (my parents would have been married 30 years) I married my best friend. Yes we share their wedding anniversary, and on August 30th we found out we are expecting. I have so many emotions going through my body. I just pray that my dad and my soon to be baby are getting a lot of quality time up there. ♥️😩
