My milk doesn’t seem fatty enough!?

My milk is pretty watery it seems like, it’s a light white color and typically thin in consistency. My maybe is 7 weeks and still eats every hour expect at night and sometimes we don’t even make it to an hour! I know he’s getting enough milk but I’m starting to think it’s not fatty enough and that’s why he eats so often?!
How can I produce better milk, is it my diet?!

Your foremilk will be more watery and your hind milk (the stuff at the very end of the nursing session) will be thicker. Be sure you’re completely emptying your breasts. After your little one finishes you could try hand expressing anything else then immediately feeding that to them as well. Your milk will also be more watery during the summer time and they’ll want to eat more often to keep baby hydrated, especially if you live somewhere really hot. 
I’m the exact same way with my milk. Feed my little one about every 90 minutes during the day. We don’t have AC and it’s pretty hot here so I try to keep in mind he needs to stay hydrated. It sucks feeding so much though mama trust me I know!

My milk was less fatty and my midwife told me eat avocado (I eat one avocado each day), ice cream and more meat. Now I can see a thick layer of fatty on the top of my express milk. Hope this would help you :)

My son does this too (he’s 8 weeks on Thursday). He can be feeding for 40 mins still (most of the time a lot less though) and be looking for his next feed in less than an hour sometimes lol. But my son had been gaining quite a bit of weight over the past month or so and last week gained 12oz in 8 days which I was impressed with! ☺️ 
I find that sometimes my son ‘feeds’ not because he’s hungry but sometimes he does it if he’s struggling to poop and not feeling too great because of it or if he’s tired and wants to go to sleep. It might seem like he’s feeding a lot but I bet some of the time it’s just for comfort.

I can’t help on the milk side of things but it’s nice to see that there are other littles with the same daytime routine as mine. 🤦🏻‍♀️

That's the way itll look coming out. You wont see separation between eatery and fatty until its left alone for a while. And unfortunately there jsnt a way to increase the hindmilk (fatty part). You could try pumping before feeding but that could result in an oversupply which would make the imbalance worse if there truly is one.

He is just cluster feeding because he is going through a growth spurt.  It should end soon.
